2017-2018 Season Start

Ice scheduling is being completed right now and we can confirm that there will be sessions starting this coming weekend (September 1st). Some of the younger levels may not start until mid-September. TBD.

Emails will be sent to participants when the level directors have finalized their schedules.

This is a reminder to all participants and parents to keep an eye open on this website for upcoming ice schedules in case of email errors. When they are ready they will be posted in the level section which is accessible by clicking on the level menu above (desktop) or through the menu button on the top left (mobile).

A message to Double Letter participants before tryouts begin

Subsidized Pierrefonds/Roxboro and Ile-Bizard/Saint Genevieve players are invited to tryout for the Pierrefonds AA teams for the upcoming 2016-17 season. Pierrefonds will be dressing the following AA teams:
Atom AA
PeeWee AA
Bantam AA
Midget AA
Junior AA

Pierrefonds players that try out for one of the AA teams, if they get cut, they can choose to tryout for Ile-Bizard’s BB team. If Ile-Bizard does not have a BB team in the level the player is trying out for, then the player has 2 options, either try out for a BB team in DDO or get sent down to Pierrefonds’ single letter program.

Pierrefonds players MUST be registered before be allowed to start the AA camp. If a player shows up and is not registered, they will not be able to start camp.

Ile-Bizard players that try out for one of the AA teams in Pierrefonds will not need a release from their association (ILBHA) to try out. If an Ile-Bizard player gets cut, they will be sent back to Ile-Bizard Minor Hockey Association. If an Ile-Bizard player makes one of the Pierrefonds AA teams, then the Pierrefonds Minor Hockey Association will request a release from Ile-Bizard Minor Hockey Association.

Ile-Bizard players MUST be registered with Ile-Bizard Minor Hockey Association before be allowing to start the AA camp. If a player shows up and not registered, they will not be able to start camp.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Pat O`Halloran, a longtime volunteer of the PMHA

Patricia “Patty” Smeaton
October 4, 1945 – May 4, 2017

Passed away at Lakeshore General Hospital May 4th 2017, surrounded by her two sons Andrew and Gary, after a long and courageous battle with emphysema.

She was born in Montreal to John Smeaton and Dorothy Higgerty, both of whom have pre-deceased her. She is survived by her husband Patrick O’halloran and beloved pet Nikki; children Andrew O’Halloran and Gary (Trista) O’Halloran ; grandson Preston O’Halloran; sister Brenda (Al) Putre; brothers Allen Smeaton and Peter (Maureen) Smeaton; nephew Brian Putre; nieces Allison Smeaton and Jessica (Stephen) Stock; great-niece Isabelle Stock; and, great-nephew Michael Stock.

Patty was an active community volunteer throughout her life, including with Scouts Canada and Montreal West Island hockey associations. In recognition of her many years of dedicated volunteer service, Patty was inducted into the Hockey Lac St-Louis Hall of Fame (of which only a handful have had the honor).

She will be missed by friends and relatives, with many fond memories at the family cottage on Bird Lake in the Laurentians, her favourite place in the world either alone or with family, reading, cooking, and feeding the left-overs to the raccoons.

Special thanks to all the staff from Mount Sinai Hospital Center Montreal and the Lakeshore General Hospital for their excellent care and support.

In lieu of flowers, please donations in her memory may be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation or The Canadian Lung Association.
